While travelling through Provence and the south of France in the same year, my lyrical thoughts were focussed by the scenery. I began to photograph intensively and prolifically. The particular light, the wind, the cycle of the sun in nature, the scent of Spring: I saw perfect poetry in pictures – and I could photograph it. It was a very powerful emotion. My passion for looking through the camera’s viewfinder was unbridled. I discovered my world, my dreams, my photography. I felt I could express all my thoughts and fancies in pictures.
Not until 2003 did I venture to exhibit my pictures publicly. Up until then, I had only shown them to friends and when asked, and had begun to sell them just individually and exclusively, as I always met with a very enthusiastic response.
My way of photographing is not the craft or technique of photography, the pictures are rather created by emotions, moods, poetry and sensibility.
